What Documents Are Required For an Indian Visa?

To apply for an Indian visa, you will need to produce certain documents. These documents may be required for traditional visa, e-Visa, and computerized facial photograph. To apply for a visa to India, you must submit certain documents before you can complete the application process. Usually, a valid passport and a recent colored photograph are required. The applicant should also provide a scanned bio page of their passport. The size of the photo must be identical to the required dimensions.

The photo should be of a decent resolution, at least a one-MB file. It must have a symmetrical face, without any shadows, and be in portrait orientation. Applicants with poor eyesight can use a transparent lens to improve their image quality. Applicants with complex backgrounds will be disqualified. Lastly, the picture must be taken by someone, as taking selfies will not be accepted.

Identification data page

The Identification data page of an Indian visa document asks you to fill in your personal details. This includes your name and nationality, and details of your spouse, parents, and employer. If you’re married, you must mention your spouse’s name and designation. If you’re unmarried, you must provide your parents’ name and relationship. You must also provide the names and addresses of your previous employers. Once you’ve finished filling out the form, you must click ‘Save and Continue/Exit’ to continue.
